Steps
We have heard it before... start with baby steps... take one step at a time... put on foot in front of the other...
What each of these suggests also include continuance. It is a true statement that, to this date, you have overcome every challenge in your life. You did this because you kept putting "one foot in front of the other."
This week, our church is getting new carpet and a number of us stayed after services on Sunday to move all the pews out of the sanctuary and clear out 2 office and a file room. In the beginning, it looked like a lot of work! Deciding to take action, one person took a step towards getting things moved out. Then another person joined in and took a step, then another.
In about an hour - it was done. One person took a step and began to move the energy. One person move toward creating change.
No matter the challenge, when you take action and take that first step, committing to your choice, other forces in your universe begin to align with your energy and things happen very quickly.
Timid steps are a good start. BOLD steps really get things moving! And when others join in a take BOLD steps with you... whoa!

Personal Responsibility
What would happen if you decided to be responsible for everything that happens in your world, including everything you observe or experience?
Now, when I say 'responsible' I do not mean to imply fault or blame for the event. By 'responsible' I am referring to how you perceive the event and whether or not this event is an issue in your world.
Everything you experience, everything you observe, everything... is open to your interpretation. Have you realized yet that two people will often have two different perceptions or interpretations of an event? Even in your day to day, you will perceive something differently depending on your mood.
The fact remains; Stuff Happens! How we choose to deal with it will determine our results and our condition in the moment. I think a couple of months ago, I wrote about a fellow who I had apparently cut off on the freeway exit ramp. It was an accident and I didn't even know it happened until he raced by me shaking his fist and making certain that I knew I was #1 in his book. I did not react. I observed. It was interesting to note that out of that exchange of which he and I were equal parties too, he was the only one unhappy.
What would happen if you decided to be personally responsible?
Isn't it empowering to know that you always have a choice? You can choose to be happy. You can choose to be empowered. You can choose to be responsible. And... when you think about it... choosing to be responsible is being empowered. You can only change things you have decided to take responsibility for.
