I have had several conversations recently about the Law of Attraction and I really enjoy them because I get to turn that into a moment of learning.
Others say "Law of Attraction" and I say "Law of Recognition". Now, I admit that "attraction" much more fun than "recognition" and, I think Law of Recognition is a more accurate expression of what is happening.
You see, it is regularly proven that opposites attract. We can see this in science by observing magnetic poles. We can see this all around us in many different ways. What is happening in the attraction process is the playing out of the universal rule of balance. The universe, or energy, like water, is constantly seeking a point of stasis. Anytime energy is not in stasis, then its opposite energy must move in to establish balance. This is the idea behind yin yang.
So, why is it that we say "Law of Attraction"? The answer is "for simplicity". It is easier to think of things as being created into reality when we cannot see them than it is to think of then as actually existing, and real, when we cannot see them. The fact of the matter is this, what you want does exists in the here and now. To assume otherwise is to deny the existence of universal energy in the here and now.
Law of Recognition sets up the condition in the mind that what you desire is already present in the here and now. Your role is to recognize it, label it, claim it. The energy of your perfect job is present right now. It is out there. You must define what it is, give it a name and claim it as your own. The same process applies for relationships, health and every other area of your life.
